CIDE DICTIONARY

ekasiliconn. [Skr. one + E. silicon.].
     The name of a hypothetical element predicted and afterwards discovered and named germanium; -- so called because it was a missing analogue of the silicon group. See Germanium, and cf. Ekabor.  [1913 Webster]
