spermatogonium, n. [NL., fr. Gr. , , sperm + offspring.].
     A primitive seminal cell, occuring in masses in the seminal tubules. It divides into a mass (spermosphere) of small cells (spermoblast), which in turn give rise to spermatozoids.  [1913 Webster]
