sarsenn. [Etymol. uncertain; perhaps for saracen stone, i.e., a heathen or pagan stone or monument.].
     One of the large sandstone blocks scattered over the English chalk downs; -- called also sarsen stone, and Druid stone.  [1913 Webster]
