CIDE DICTIONARY

macacusn. [NL., a word of African origin. Cf. Macaco, Macaque.].
     A genus of monkeys, found in Asia and the East Indies, now usually called Macaca. They have short tails and prominent eyebrows. See also Macaca.  [1913 Webster]
