hypoxanthinn. [Pref. hypo- + xanthin.].
     A crystalline, nitrogenous substance, closely related to xanthin and uric acid, widely distributed through the animal body, but especially in muscle tissue; -- called also sarcin, sarkin.  [1913 Webster]
