  •  A name given by soldiers and sailors to a kind of unleavened hard biscuit or sea bread. Called also pilot biscuit, pilot bread, ship biscuit and ship bread  [1913 Webster]
  •  Any of several mahogany trees, esp. the Cercocarpus betuloides.  [PJC]
