Feverfew, n. [AS. feferfuge, fr. L. febrifugia. See fever, Fugitive, and cf. Febrifuge.].
A perennial plant (Pyrethrum Parthenium, or Chrysanthemum Parthenium) allied to camomile, having finely divided leaves and white blossoms; -- so named from its supposed febrifugal qualities. [1913 Webster]
